Garlic has tons of flavor, is good for your heart, and supposedly makes you taste bad to bugs. What more can you ask for? Here are some of my favorite recipes to help you get more garlic into your diet.
A classic Middle Eastern dip made of roasted eggplant. Delicious!
White beans and black olives combine with various herbs and veggies to make a hearty soup.
Caesar salad often comes with anchovies, which offer a salty, “oceany” flavor. This Caesar dressing uses arame (a type of seaweed) to offer a similar kind of flavor to vegetarians.
Chicken-free version of a classic Italian entrée: lemony, garlicky, capery chickpeas served over pasta or mashed potatoes.
I eat bread with nearly every meal, especially soup, salad, and pasta (obviously I’m not a low-carb diet fan). Plain French or Italian bread is wonderful, but nice hot garlic bread can be a real treat.
