White beans and black olives combine with various herbs and veggies to make a hearty soup.
Caesar salad often comes with anchovies, which offer a salty, “oceany” flavor. This Caesar dressing uses arame (a type of seaweed) to offer a similar kind of flavor to vegetarians.
I eat bread with nearly every meal, especially soup, salad, and pasta (obviously I’m not a low-carb diet fan). Plain French or Italian bread is wonderful, but nice hot garlic bread can be a real treat.
These aren’t much more work than regular mashed potatoes, but they have a lot more flavor.
