Nuts are an excellent source of vegetarian protein, and they taste great too!
Here are some vegetarian recipes featuring nuts, including breakfast, salads, main courses, and desserts, as well as tips on making your own nut butters, milks, and creams.

Cultured almond paste makes a terrific vegan alternative to fresh chèvre, the soft, spreadable goat cheese often sold in herb- or spice-covered logs.

Pesto is traditionally made with basil, but other herbs and greens can be equally delicious. Arugula pesto is peppery and slightly spicy – try it with pasta for a simple summer meal.
