Vegetarian recipes and info
Some seeds are used like spices to add a hint of flavor to a recipe, but other types of seeds, like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds, are key ingredients in their own right. Here are some vegetarian recipes starring these nutritious, delicious seeds.
Ground flaxseed blended with cashew milk and oil makes the most mayonnaisey eggless mayonnaise I’ve ever tasted.
Pumpkins are a key ingredient in some wonderful recipes, notably pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup – not to mention jack-o’lanterns – but what can you do with the seeds? Roast ‘em!
A vegetarian “tuna” salad made with chickpeas, almonds, and seeds. While this doesn’t taste exactly like tuna salad, it’s close enough that I don’t miss the real thing any more.
Naan is a traditional Indian flat bread. This delicious bread is well worth the time and effort it takes to prepare.
