Directions | Peel the oranges, removing as much of the inner white skin as possible.
Cut into pieces, put in blender along with sugar and water, purée. Stir in liqueur and lemon juice. Pour into bowl and freeze. Every 20-30 minutes, remove and stir. After two hours, remove from freezer and blend again. Return to freezer for another two hours. |
Notes | This lovely Italian dessert can be made with lemons or berries too. For the latter, mash the berries and strain out the seeds before placing in blender.
For a more exotic dessert, serve two or three kinds of sorbet along with some simple cookies. Also try peach sorbet and plum sorbet. |
