Pesto makes this simple pizza recipe stand out from the crowd.
Yield: 1 large or 2 medium pizzas

Ingredients
- 1 batch pizza dough
- ½ c pesto or pistou (vegan pesto)
- ½ c tomato sauce
- 1 c grated cheese (mozzarella, Monterey Jack, cheddar)
- 1 medium red onion, sliced
Directions
Preheat oven to 400.
Roll out the pizza dough and place on pizza pan(s).
Spread pesto on crust, then top with tomato sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and onions.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until pizza crust is golden around the edges.
Notes
If you find that the soft dough makes it difficult to spread the pesto, drop very small spoonfuls all over the crust.
