Cook the pasta in plenty of salty boiling water until not quite al dente – 1-2 minutes less than the package instructions.
Meanwhile, oil the baking dish and set aside.
Preheat oven to 400.
Combine tomato sauce and basil in the bowl and set aside.
When the pasta is nearly cooked, drain it, then add to the bowl. Stir well to evenly coat.
Transfer half of the pasta into the baking dish, and sprinkle with half of each cheese. Repeat.
Bake for 20 minutes, until top begins to brown.
