Bloody Mary

If you crave the spiciness of a bloody mary but don’t want the alcohol, try this tasty variation. (Or if you want to make the real thing, see the Notes section.)

  • Pitcher or large bowl
Ingredients
  • 1 Q tomato or vegetable juice
  • 1-2 t horseradish
  • 1 T
    vegetarian Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
  • 1 oz lemon or lime juice
  • 1-3 t tabasco sauce
  • 1-3 t black pepper
  • ½-1 t celery salt
  • Ice
Directions Stir all of the ingredients together in the pitcher or bowl. Taste and add more horseradish, tabasco and/or spices as needed.

Chill and serve over ice. Garnish with lemon/lime wedges and a celery stalk.

Notes If you’re interested in the alcoholic version, add one cup of vodka, taste, and adjust the seasonings.
