Red beans combined with wheat gluten make a hearty and almost disturbingly meat-like burger.
Yield: 4 servings
Time: 45 minutes
- small bowl
- medium bowl
- potato masher
- wooden spoon
- grill or frying pan
- 1 T flax seeds, ground

Let rest for 15 minutes.
Heat the grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.
Stir the mixture again, then form into 4 burgers.
Grill or fry on each side 5 minutes.
If you don’t like the rare, red meat look to these burgers, feel free to substitute another kind of bean. They’ll taste just as good!
