FAQ:
What is this site?
Why do you do it?
After running the French
Language site at About for two and a half years as well as a Spanish Language site for several months, I found that I was
enjoying myself so much that I wanted to begin a site on another topic near and dear
to my heart, and thus the Veggie Table was born. The work I do here is unpaid,
for the most part. Affiliate programs and advertising provide enough income
to make the work interesting, if not profitable.
I am happy to provide the resources on this site to you,
the readers, free of charge, but I
hope you understand that it takes a great deal of time and effort. The only
way that
I get paid for my work is through advertising and affiliate commissions.
Please don't get me wrong - I love the work that I
do and I would never run a site on a topic that I didn't care deeply about.
However, as much as I enjoy it, I can't afford to spend 20-30 hours a week
doing volunteer work. I, like you and everyone else, have to make a living. My
dream is to do this by working on my three sites. If you like this site
and would like to see it continue to grow, I need your help - your patronage will
help me to continue working on this
site. If this website does not generate any income, at some point I will have
to call it a loss and look for another way to earn a living.
So now that I've given you the ol' guilt
trip, here's what I'm asking of you. If
you are in the market for cookbooks, speciality
foods, organic products, etc., please
consider the products offered throughout this site by my
affiliates and advertisers. That's not too difficult, right?
Alternatively, you are welcome to make a contribution to my
Tip Jar if you so desire. In this way, you
will directly impact my ability to continue providing you with the benefit of
my knowledge and love of vegetarianism.

Leave me a tip!
