Quick and simple recipe for crispy, flavorful tofu.

- tongs
- plate
- small bowl
- wooden spoon
Ingredients
- 2½ T oil, divided
- 12 oz extra-firm tofu, cut into strips and patted dry
- 1 t pepper
- ½ t smoked paprika
- ¼ t salt
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
Heat two T oil over medium-high heat, add tofu, and fry for about 7 minutes, until golden brown and crisp. Turn and fry the other side.
Meanwhile, combine the spices in the bowl.
When the tofu is ready, transfer to a plate and add the rest of the oil to the pan along with onions and garlic.
Sauté for a minute, then add tofu and spice mixture and toss to coat.
Serve hot.
