Broiled AsparagusBroiled
asparagus topped with cheesy bread crumbs is the perfect dish for spring.

- small bowl

| Directions |
Preheat broiler. Butter the baking dish, then arranged
steamed, well-drained asparagus in a single layer.
Cut remaining butter into small pieces, then combine with bread
crumbs and cheese. Use your fingers to mix and squish everything together
into buttery crumbs. Sprinkle over the asparagus.
Broil 2-3 minutes, until the crumbs just turn golden - check
frequently or the crumbs will burn. |
| Notes |
To make the most of this recipe, you must use fresh bread crumbs and
freshly grated Parmesan - store-bought crumbs and pre-grated Parmesan will
detract greatly.
