Homemade croutons are a snap to make! Croutons
Yield 4-6 servings
Time 20 minutes
  • medium frying pan
  • wooden spoon
  • cookie sheet
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 4 slices sandwich bread or 8 slices French bread (stale is fine), cubed
Directions Preheat oven to 300°F.

Heat the olive oil and stir in the garlic, then add the bread.

Sauté for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, then transfer to a cookie sheet and place in the oven for about 10 minutes, until crispy.

Notes Serve with soup, salad, or whatever else you like croutons with.
