Veggie Pizza

Recipe for a typical vegetarian pizza recipe with mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives.

Yield 1 large or 2 medium pizzas
Time 30 minutes (not including dough)
  • pizza pan or stone
  • knife
  • 1 batch pizza dough
  • 1 c tomato sauce
  • 1 to 1½ c grated cheese (mozzarella, Monterey Jack, cheddar, vegan)
  • ½ of a medium onion, sliced
  • 1 c mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ of a green or red bell pepper, raw or roasted, seeded and sliced
  • ½ cup black olives
Directions Preheat oven to 400.

Roll out the pizza dough and place on pizza pan.

Spread tomato sauce on crust, then sprinkle with cheese and vegetables.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, until pizza crust is golden around the edges.

Notes This is a typical vegetarian pizza recipe, but feel free to leave off any ingredient(s) and add others, such as artichoke hearts, tomatoes, or nuts – more pizza topping ideas.
