Berry Shake

A small serving of this sweet drink is delightful after a filling lunch.

Time 5 minutes
Tools
  • Blender or food processor
Ingredients
  • 2 c strawberries*
  • 1 c orange juice
  • 6 T cream or milk
  • 2 t sugar (or more, to taste)
Directions Blend all of the ingredients until liquid, about 1 minute.

Serve immediately.

Notes * Strawberries are my favorite berry for this drink, but you could also try blueberries, raspberries, or whatever else tickles your fancy.

If you don’t like the seeds, blend just the berries first, push them through a strainer to remove the seeds, and then blend the pulp with the other ingredients.

If you prefer a thicker drink, use more strawberries or less orange juice, or replace half of the cream/milk with
yogurt.

If not serving right away, store this in the fridge. It may separate, so to revive it, whisk in a bit more cream or milk before serving.
