Cool and refreshing, smoothies are a delicious and nutritious snack and thirst-quencher.
Yield: 1 smoothie
Time: 5 minutes
Tool
- Blender or food processor
Ingredients
- 1½ c frozen fruit
or
1 c fresh fruit + 3 ice cubes - ¾ – 1 c liquid
- Additions (optional)
Directions
Place all of the ingredients in the blender or food processor and process until there are no visible chunks of fruit.
If smoothie is too thick, add more liquid. Too thin, add more fruit.
Notes

If you use frozen fruit, be aware that the first minute or so of blending will be *very* loud, so if you have neighbors or sleeping kids, don’t make smoothies too early in the morning.
