Raw Marinara Sauce

Red bell pepper blended with sun-dried tomatoes makes a slightly spicy, raw sauce.
Yield about 1 cup
Time 5 minutes
Tools
  • blender or food processor*
Ingredients
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • ½ c sun-dried tomatoes, soaked for 15 minutes and drained
  • 1 T Italian seasoning (or 1 t each: dried oregano, basil, and thyme or rosemary)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ t agave syrup
  • 1/8 t black pepper
  • 1/8 t cayenne
  • 1/8 t salt
Directions Place everything in the blender or food processor and blend for a minute or two. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of water.

Serve over raw noodles or use in raw lasagna.

Notes * For a smooth sauce, use a blender. If you like your sauce a little chunky, use a food processor.
