A simple, traditional gravy that vegans, meat eaters, and everyone in between will love.
Yield: about 2 cups

- medium saucepan
- whisk
Ingredients
- 1 c water
- ¼ c flour
- 1 c vegetable stock
- ¼ c nutritional yeast
- 4 t tamari or soy sauce
- 2 T minced onion
- 1 T dried sage
- ½ t dried thyme
Directions
Place water in pot over medium heat and slowly add the flour, constantly whisking until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer, whisking frequently, until desired thickness.
Notes
Try sage gravy with mashed potatoes and hazelnut-crusted seitan for a hearty and delicious meal.
